Goodbye New York, and Hello Idaho!

After the honeymoon, Tim and I loaded all of our belongings into a Budget truck and strapped on the Beetle to move to Idaho. It was so fun going through all of our wedding presents! We are now the owners of what I call a stocked kitchen, and we have furniture for every room in our house. I feel so blessed! It was also fun going through all of Tim's things. We have different philosophies when it comes to keeping and throwing away stuff. Tim is a pack rat, and I am the kind of girl that if it doesn't fit in my beetle, or I haven't used it in a year, I don't need it. Tim was really good though. He even got rid of an orange aztec-y shirt that I hated. Now, that is true love!

Well, after we had taken stock, we loaded it and got ready to move. We said goodbye to our loved ones, took a deep breath, and started on the two and a half day journey to Idaho.  The trip went by quickly for me. We took turns driving the big truck. It kind of threw me not being able to see the beetle attached to the truck behind us. I was always looking for it. We didn't have any problems along the way. We made good time. We stopped every night to take a rest and stretch out...which was nice.

We stopped in Blackfoot, ID to pick up Tim's best friend Randy on our way to Rexburg. On our first night in Rexburg, we went bowling with some of Randy's friends. I must say my skills at bowling have gone a little down hill, but I have a lifetime to practice. The next day we unloaded the truck. We had several neighbors come outside to help us. It was really nice of them! The truck got unloaded twice as fast. After the beast was unloaded, it was a little overwhelming.  Our apartment was wall to wall boxes. It took a few days, but our apartment is now a home. I pray that Idaho is kind to us. So, far I have had a blast. I love being married, and don't worry there will be more posts coming of our adventures in the Burg.
