A Cotter Thanksgiving

What are you thankful for? I feel as though I could make a list that would never end of the many blessings that I have received. Life is a gift, people; we should treat it as such.

I look forward to the holidays every year, and Thanksgiving brings warmth and joy to my soul. This year for Thanksgiving, my family and I went over to the Cotter house hold. The Cotter family has been friends with my family for years. They feel more like family than friends to me; so, needless to say, Thanksgiving was a fantastic day.

Gail Cotter is one of the best cooks that you will ever meet. I do not say that lightly either. She really is. Food is her passion, and I love reaping the benefits from it. The spread at our Thanksgiving meal would and possibly did make a grown man cry. The turkey was moist, the potatoes were tasty, the yams were delicious (I normally hate yams, but these yams tasted like candy to me), the Cajun stuffing made me want to eat nothing else for the rest of my life, and the list just goes on and on. I don't want to make too many of you jealous. Oh, dessert, I cannot forget dessert. I think that we had enough pie to feed a small army. It is a week later and the Cahoon's still have pie in our refrigerator. THAT NEVER HAPPENS. It might last 2 days, but that is it. So, this is a miraculous Fiat all in its self.

Thanksgiving was a day to remember. We ate, talked, ate some more, played games, and just enjoyed one anothers' company. It was a day for the books I tell you! I know that there is more that I want to say, but I guess that is it for now. Enjoy your day!

What are some of your Thanksgiving traditions? Is there anything that you simply can't live without? Cajun stuffing is now on my list.
