So, this past week I house sat for the Wall family, and it was glorious. I love my quiet time. I got to read, make food, and clean up only after myself. It was beautiful. I cannot say thank you enough to Brother and Sister Wall. They don't have any animals to take care of or plants to water. They basically just wanted their house to look like someone was home...a.k.a....they were being nice to me and letting me have a quiet space to call mine for a week.
One thing I love about the Wall house hold is that there are little sayings of inspiration on the walls and on the refrigerator. One of the main sayings around the house is: Psalms. "Be still and know that I am God." I love that scripture. It is important for us to listen and be still and remember where our lives and their bounties come from. Another quote that I love was on the Wall's refrigerator:
"Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate, but that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, handsome, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God within us. It is not just in some, it is in everyone. And, as we let our own light shine we consciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our fear, our presence automatically liberates others." ~Nelson Mandela
Nelson Mandela = a very wise man. So, there is just a little food for thought. Remember who you are and what you are worth! Woo!

just so you know - Nelson Mandela was quoting Marianne Williamson with that quote from his inaugural speech. I always loved that it was a woman who came up with that trinket of wisdom!
