The other night, Tim and I were at Walmart. We ran into some friends and we got to talking. As we were separating from our friends, Tim went to the movie section while I ended the conversation. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Tim grab a movie and put it in our cart. I ran to stop him because I realized that it was a blue ray that I had already gotten him for Christmas. When I asked him to put it back, he said, "it's okay we need this" or something like unto that. Then I said, "Tim, you already own this movie. You know wink, wink, smile." He laughed and said, "did we do what I think we did?"
Moral of the story: I bought Tim the Dark Night Trilogy Blue Ray combination from Amazon. Tim bought me The Dark Night Trilogy individually from Walmart. The movie he put in the cart was the last one he needed to complete my gift. I laughed so hard. We know each other too well. Tim said that it was good that he grabbed the movie in front of me...otherwise on Christmas day we would be opening the same present! I also thought that it was funny that we had such adverse reactions. I laughed, and thought that it was hilarious, and that we both have good taste in presents. Tim was really frustrated and annoyed about it because he now has to replace gifts for me (it is easier to return things to Walmart than it is to Amazon!) It was just really, really funny. We were both able to laugh about it later. So, yeah, me and my husband= perfect together.
